Vacation:
Two (2) weeks per year will be allowed for family vacations. A $35 per week holding fee will be charged for any additional weeks.

Birthdays:
If you wish to have a party for your child at school on his or her birthday, we will have a party in the afternoon. Parents may bring a birthday cake, cupcakes, ice cream sandwiches or any special treat your birthday child prefers (Please note however, that HRS regulations do not permit us to serve homemade baked goods). We will supply the drinks. Parents are welcome to attend. The facility is available after business hours for parties for a nominal fee.

Daily Needs:
Each child must have the following:
  • Lunch box
  • A small blanket (Absolutely No Pillows!)
  • A complete change of clothing
Please put your child's name on all personal belongings.

Nutrition:
Please send a nutitionally balanced meal for your child. An ice pack should be placed in their lunch box to keep all milk products cold. Hi-Tech Academy offers a hot lunch program. The school will furnish two snacks a day. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CANDY TO SCHOOL!

Clothing:
Clothing should be comfortable and easy for the child to manage during bathroom procedures. Shoes should have a rubber or non-skid sole. This reduces accidents when playing on equipment. Flip-Flops are not permitted and Sandals are not recommended. Please provide your child with a closed-toe shoe. The school will not be responsible for lost jewelry. We suggest such items not be worn to school.

Toys:
Children should not bring personal toys or other playthings to school unless instructed to by their teacher. The school will not be responsible for lost toys.

Discipline:
Physical punishment is never used. We try to teach a child self control. If a child is disruptive to the group, he/she is removed from group activities and redirected to other play areas. When it becomes necessary, we will ask the child to sit in time out away from other children. When we feel it necessary, we will tell parents why a child has had to sit in time out. We reserve the right to request the removal of a child if we feel the child is disruptive to the healthy learning environment of other children.
Illness:
When your child becomes ill at school, you will be notified immediately. Please be prepared to have someone pick up your child if necessary. Program fees are still charged regardless of days missed due to illness or other family matters.

Medicines:
When prescription medication is to be dispensed by the center, the medicine must be in the original prescription bottle and a medication form must be completed. State law prohibits us from giving over-the-counter medication. The parent in the home should administrate all morning and evening doses.

Sign In/Out:
A sign in/out log is located in the office with each child's name. You must sign your child in and out every day.

Release of Children:
Children will be released only to those persons whose names are registered with us. Identification may be required of unknown persons picking the child up.

Returned Check Charge:
There will be a $15 charge on any returned check.

Arrival and Pickup:
Children must be escorted into and out of the center by the parent.
